Sugar Land has one of the better tree canopies on this side of Houston, which is exactly why it needs maintaining. Mature oaks and pines here have grown dense enough that wind loads them instead of passing through them, and a proper thin does more for storm safety than any amount of cabling after the fact.

That canopy also means shade, and shade means the St. Augustine underneath it thins out every year. We map sun and shade before recommending sod, and in the deepest shade we will tell you when a bed and mulch is a better answer than grass that will never establish.
